The Freedom Press is an anarchist publisher based in Whitechapel, London, United Kingdom. Founded in 1886, we are the largest anarchist publishing house in the nation and the oldest of its kind in the English speaking world.
Alongside many books, we also publish a fortnightly newspaper, Freedom, which is the only regular national anarchist newspaper in the UK.
The Press was founded in 1886 by a group of friends, including Charlotte Wilson and Peter Kropotkin, who were already publishing Freedom newspaper, and has operated, with short breaks, ever since.

We are always looking for articles for the paper so if you feel you have journalistic talent please send us your stuff. News items are around 450 words or you can send a 100 word brief and we always welcome letters up to 600 words. Copy dates are Thursday 6th and 20th August and fortnightly thereafter.
